Otis Centennial Campaign “We Are Los Angeles”

With the great response received from “Head in the Clouds” Otis approached me to design the cover of the 2018 – 2019 Otis College of Art and Design View Book, which led to utilizing the imagery in other marketing avenues. The View Book is sent out worldwide to promote the college and encourage prospective art and design students to attend the highly ranked art and design institution.

I had the pleasure of illustrating nearly 100 illustrations that wrapped around the cover of the viewbook. The book’s cover sleeve folds out and becomes a full scale 24″ x 36″ poster. For Otis College’s Centennial, the school wanted to project how after 100 years of being the top art and design school in Los Angeles, they have become an LA landmark. Otis College was illustrated to be in the center and among tons of other Los Angeles icons.

The assets used on the book cover/poster were also applied to other surfaces. Otis used the imagery on postcards to promote the school and also on t-shirts sold at the art supply store on campus {Graphaids}. The poster was also utilized in a stop motion video which found itself posted on various social media sites and the college’s website.

This poster was shortlisted into the Association of Illustrator’s World Illustration Awards of 2019! The competition selected 200 entries out of 3600 from 75 countries to represent this year’s top illustration. My entry won in the Advertising category under New Talent commissioned project.
